As one of the ancient wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site, Stonehenge is truly a sight to behold. Known as the world’s most intricate stone circle, its enigmatic past continues to spark debate and intrigue.
Perched on the vast, open chalk downs, you can step back in time and fully absorb the unique atmosphere or take a deeper dive into the history of this remarkable monument.

Nestled near to Silbury Hill – the largest man-made mound globally – Avebury is the largest megalithic construction in England. Dating back to 2850 – 2200 BCE, it still boasts 100 original stones surviving. With three stone circles, impressive banks and ditches, a 1.5-mile avenue of stones, and a village right in the heart of the site, Avebury offers a truly unique experience to visit and explore.
HIGHCLERE CASTLE & GARDEN

A must see for those Downton Abbey fans!
Currently owned by the eighth Earl of Carnarvon, Highclere Castle has a rich history dating back to 749 AD. Originally a medieval estate set amidst stunning gardens and parkland, it was redesigned in 1842 into its current magnificent form by the same architect responsible for the Houses of Parliament.
Spanning 1,000 acres of parkland, this incredible estate and castle offer a fascinating experience both inside and out. History enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the Egyptian Exhibition housed within the castle, which showcases the story of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb by the fifth Earl of Carnarvon and archaeologist Howard Carter. The exhibition features personal collections of the Earl himself.
Highclere Castle is also famously known as the fictional home of the Crawley family in Downton Abbey. Filming here for six years, and for two feature films, it’s no wonder that the current Lord and Lady Carnarvon warmly welcome fans of the show from around the globe.
