Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the maximum number of people you can take?

Our luxury air-conditioned VW bus takes 8 passengers, plus the driver/guide. With plenty of boot space for any luggage.

  2. Do you cater for solo travellers?

Yes. Our prices start at £395 for a 7-8 hour day tour.

  3. Do your tours cater for people with limited mobility?

Yes. All our tours can be made to suit your mobility needs. Simply get in touch and we will design a tour that caters to every individual’s wants and needs (Please note that some of the attractions have uneven surfaces, but many are wheelchair friendly.)
We have space in the van for walking aids and a wheelchair. The vehicle does not have a wheelchair lift, but a lightweight scooter could be lifted into the back.

  4. Do you allow children on your tours?

Any children accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian are welcome on our tours. Our ability to create personalised tours means you can get in touch and design a tour to include something special for the kids, like a trip to a Cornish ice cream factory. Children Under 12 years old are Free of Charge. Please just inform us how many children will be accompanying you when you book.

  5. Can we bring our dog?

We understand that your dog is part of your family, and so we can help arrange a dog sitter. This way, ‘Buster’ still gets company and his daily walks/feeds, while you enjoy your day knowing he is in great hands. Not only do we bring the hospitality to you, but we also bring the dog sitter! (subject to availability and extra charges).

  6. What is included in the day tour?

Collection from your accommodation anywhere in Cornwall, complimentary bottled water throughout the day, a Cornish Cream Tea Picnic, the chance to walk part of the South West Coast Path (Optional), suggestions for lunch, your very own passionate tour guide, luxury, insured and licenced air-conditioned VW bus and parking charges.

  7. Someone in our group doesn’t want to walk the South West Coast Path, but the rest of us do.

That’s no problem. We give everyone the opportunity to walk about 1.5miles (30min) of the SWCP, purely because we think its an experience not to be missed! But we would never make someone walk it if they did not want to. They just jump aboard the VW bus with your guide and meet you at the other end. Simple! This way, everyone gets what they want out of the day.

And if no one wants to walk it, that’s fine also. We will adapt the tour accordingly.

  8. Can a 5 day deluxe tour be customised?

Absolutely, it’s your tour! We have designed our deluxe tour to give you a really unique and special experience, but if we haven’t included something that you would love to see or do, let us know and we will be happy to get the perfect holiday built just for you. (Additional charges may apply)

  9. Are your tours available all year round?

We offer our guided tour service for 10 months of the year, 7 days a week from 1st March to 7th January.

  10. What time do your tours start?

We start when you want to! If you are an early riser or fancy a lay-in, that is fine by us. On check out, you will be asked what start time would suit you best.

  11. Is the tour Private to just our group?

Yes, the tour and our attention are solely for you and your chosen companions.

  12. Can we stop for photos?

Absolutely. Our aim is to meet all your wishes and make sure your tour is the best experience possible. We also encourage sharing your images on our Facebook page.

  13. Are there frequent toilet stops?

We have tailored our tours so facilities are available frequently throughout the day.

  14. What language does the tour guide speak?

    English.

However, we do have access to European language translators, who would join us on the tour. Please e-mail us for further details and pricing at [email protected]

  15. Will the guide stay with us all the time?

That’s entirely your choice. We will never take offence if you want some time to yourselves. Although we obviously think we are great company!

Your booking is confirmed as soon as we receive your full payment after booking online. We will send you a booking invoice receipt for proof of purchase.

  17. How far in advance do I need to book?

During our peak season, early June to September, we would recommend you book early to avoid disappointment. However, we also take last minute bookings if the date is available. Please check out our online bookings calendar to see availability

  18. Can I amend our dates?

You can amend your date 14 days in advance of your tour date. If you need to amend your date due to unforeseen circumstances and your new date is available, then absolutely and at no extra cost. Simply e-mail us your booking reference with the original date of travel and we will amend your booking and send you a new confirmation.

  19. How do I cancel my booking?

If you need to cancel your trip, please e-mail us directly to cancel your booking [email protected] and we will arrange any refunds that are owed, as per our terms and conditions.

  20. Will the tour be cancelled if it rains?

When it rains, look for rainbows! We go out in all weathers, provided we consider it is safe to do so and it is important that you are prepared for rain and cold weather. If you bring the right clothing and a sunny outlook, we will have a memorable day out. Cornwall is still beautiful when it rains. Don’t believe us? Check out our Gallery.

  21. Do I need travel Insurance?

We recommend that you have travel and medical insurance. We cannot take any responsibility for lost or stolen items while on our tours.

  22. How do we get to Cornwall?

    By Car:

Cornwall has one dual carriageway in and out, the A30. The A30 runs right through the centre of the county, cutting through the wild landscape of Bodmin Moor. If you are coming from Plymouth on the A38, you will travel across the Tamar bridge, which has a toll fee when you leave Cornwall. Our country roads are narrow, with high hedges and stone wall sides. Please note that traffic on the A30 can be particularly heavy on bank holiday weekends and the summer holidays, so allow extra time.
