Her childhood home inspired many of her novels, which have since been adapted to form the basis for a German television series, made up of over 100 episodes. Taking place against the stunning Cornish backdrop, the series features the county’s iconic beaches, breath-taking coastline, and impressive architecture.
Suggested Tour Itinerary:
We start the day at birthplace of Rosamunde at Lelant and then follow the road to the iconic town of St Ives, after you have filled your senses we drive the stunning road to Botallack Mine to gaze upon these precariously placed engine houses. From here we head to Land’s End to view the impressive Enys Dodnan Arch, with views out to Longships Lighthouse and the Isles of Scilly beyond. Now heading East, hugging the South Coast we visit Lamorna Cove which featured in the ‘shell seekers’. Driving through Newlyn and Penzance, we admire the Victorian sea pool which has recently undergone a major refurbishment. Finishing our day overlooking St Micheals Mount which dominates the skyline.
